Sabbatical Leave Bonds

A sabbatical leave bond guarantees to reimburse an educational institution or school district the salary paid an employed instructor during a sabbatical leave period, if the instructor fails to return and render a two year period of service following the sabbatical. The amount of a sabbatical leave bond is set in the amount of total salary payable during leave period. If the surety company pays on a claim to the educational institution or school district, the instructor is expected to pay the surety on the claim.

NOTE: Please complete and return the application with a copy of your bank statement, a copy of the letter from your school district approving the leave, and a written statement of what you will be doing while on leave.  Follow the instructions below to fax, email, or mail your correspondence.
